Our Prayer team supports the individual prayer life of members through curation of the “Prayer at Messiah” Facebook Group, prayer lists and related initiatives.
During the COVID19 pandemic, we realized praying for one another and for our wider world was something we needed to more deeply prioritize as a congregation. As part of that growth in our faith, we started a private Prayer at Messiah Facebook Group for our members and friends. We make a daily devotional called Bread for the Day free to all who are interested. We spend an extended period in worship lifting up intercessions offered both by our in person and virtual assembly. In response to the recent crisis in Ukraine, we have also begun lifting up the World Council of Churches' Ecumenical Prayer Cycle, which lifts up a different region of the world in prayer each week of the year.
