Our Creation Care Committee, chaired by Nancy Stuebner, fosters eco-justice decisions and events among all activities and offices of the congregation.
From our annual planting of the Rev. Richard Rieger Memorial Harvest Garden (an experimental urban farm that utilizes edible landscaping around our Parsonage and Faith Center) to moving to 100% community solar power for all of our buildings, Messiah Lutheran Church is doing its part in building a more sustainable world.
From installing smart thermostats to composting, from celebrating the Season of Creation each September to advocating for environmentally friendly policies on the local, state and federal level, Messiah's Creation Care Committee is deeply dedicated to helping our congregation and community be as green as possible!
