MIDDLE SCHOOL FAITH FORMATION
Middle school students participate in an in-depth, multi-year program of preparation for adulthood traditionally referred to as "confirmation." Don't worry though... this isn't your grandparent's confirmation class of memorizing Bible verses, taking quizzes or reciting catechisms! Instead, we follow the philosophy that if our students can discover how their faith intersects with the realities of twenty-first century life in a fun, exciting and relevant way, they'll continue to remain involved in Christian community throughout their lifetime.
For confirmation class, which meets with Pastor Dustin Sunday nights at 6:00pm on Zoom until the coronavirus crisis is over, we use a curriculum from Sparkhouse called colaborate, which helps our youth (and their parents) ask questions and discussion important topics related to their faith. Even if your youth is a bit older but never participated in a confirmation program, she/ he/ they is more than welcome to join us! |
