MIDDLE SCHOOL FAITH FORMATION
Middle school students participate in an in-depth, multi-year program of preparation for adulthood traditionally referred to as "confirmation." Don't worry though... this isn't your grandparent's confirmation class of memorizing Bible verses, taking quizzes or reciting catechisms! Instead, we follow the philosophy that if our students can discover how their faith intersects with the realities of twenty-first century life in a fun, exciting and relevant way, they'll continue to remain involved in Christian community throughout their lifetime.
For confirmation class, which meets with Pastor Dustin Sunday nights at 6:00pm, we use a curriculum from Sparkhouse called colaborate, which helps our youth (and their parents) ask questions and discussion important topics related to their faith.
In addition to participating in the Confirmation Class, our middle school youth meet with Leader Betsy Sweet on Sundays at 9:00am for a group called the Donut Club to hang out, discuss what's going on in their lives, plan a bunch of service projects, fun events and more!
Even if your youth is a bit older but never participated in a confirmation program, she/ he/ they is more than welcome to join us!
